Koncent announces its newly developed
high performance isolator series

Koncent Communication, Inc. , a leading optical component manufacturer, announces its newly developed high performance isolator series. Koncent new isolator series features ultra-high isolation with isolation as high as 70dB; ultra-low insertion loss with insertion loss as low as 0.25dB; ultra-low PMD with PMD as low as 0.02ps, while maintaining Koncent's consistent high quality isolators with competitive prices in the market.

Koncent ultra-high isolation isolators are manufactured with Koncent's patent pending technology. The isolator provides significant improved performance against the traditional dual stage isolator with isolation of 50-58 dB at central wavelength and 45dB over 60nm bandwidth. Koncent's new isolators have extremely high isolation at the central wavelength and flat isolation spectral curve, i.e. over 65dB isolation at central wavelength and higher than 55dB isolation over 60nm bandwidth.

Koncent ultra-low loss isolators take advantage of its proprietary collimating lens technologies, featuring ultra-low insertion loss of 0.25dB for single stage isolators.

Koncent ultra-low PMD isolators are based on Koncent's proprietary technology on PMD compensation and PMD control. Koncent ultra-low PMD isolators have less than 0.02ps PMD against the traditional PMD compensated isolators with 0.05ps PMD.

EDFA, Raman amplifier, and broadband light source have very strict requirements for isolator on bandwidth, isolation, PMD, and insertion loss. Koncent's high performance isolator family can meet and exceed the requirements for EDFA and Raman amplifiers designed for the next generation optical networks.
