Announce Interleaver Patent

Koncent Communication Inc., a PHOTOP company and leading fiber
optical component manufacturer and provider, today announced that
it had been issued a US patent with PUB. APP. NO. 20020159151
for optical interleaver using mach-zehnder interferometry. The
patent generally applies to optical communication systems.
The
object of the present invention is to provide an improved configuration
for manufacturing a compact and low-dispersion interleaver to
achieve excellent wide, flat passbands, high channel isolation,
low PDL and PMD, while maintaining Koncent's competitive price.
Those interleavers are ideal for OADM, DWDM system, subsystem,
system upgrading, bi-directional network and comb filter etc.
